Recognizing its expertise in IT education, AMA University was declared as Center of Development for Information Technology Education by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), effective since January 1, 2016.
The Center of Development for Information Technology is given to all higher education institution (public or private) that offers and constantly exhibit high educational performance in the areas of instruction, research and publication, advance instructional, and research capabilities in the IT field.
AMA University implements guidelines for identification, support, and development for Information Technology in accordance with CHED Memorandum Order No. 19, pertinent to R.A 7722, or also known as “Higher Education Act of 1994”. AMA University provides activities necessary in developing quality education and offers strategic developmental IT programs. The university also collaborates with identified Center of Excellence (COE) institutions to enhance research activities related to the program.
Belonging in the said category will serve as an opportunity for AMA University to sustain and enhance research capabilities and upgrade professional and research graduates programs.
A program being entitled as Center of Development has the possibility to become Center of Excellence in the future, and AMA University is determined to give its best to eventually become Center of Excellence for the advancement of the Institution as well as for the welfare of its students.
