AMA Education System holds Career and Science Fair 2015 at SMX

AMA Education System (AMAES) held its 4th Annual Career Fair at the SMX Convention Center last April 10, 2015, which was attended by not less than 2,000 students and alumni from different AMAES campuses. A Science Fair for high school and college students was also held at the same time.

Several career talks were given on how to prepare for and handle job interviews, and on how to stand out among other applicants. Some of the speakers were Eddan Macatol, Head for Corporate Planning and Management of Curo Teknika; JP Anonuevo, Recuitment Supevisor of ePerformax; Dr. Dennis Wermert, Academic Director of 8 Diverse; and Oliver Ramos, Marketing Manager of JobsDB.

Aside from AMAES and AMA School of Graduate Studies, other big companies from the IT, BPO, Real Estate, Recruitment, and Health Care Industries have also participated in this year’s career fair.

In the Science Fair, students from AMA Tarlac bagged the first prize with their "Solar e-bike Integrated with Wireless Instrumentation and Controller using Smartphone.”



AMA Computer College (AMACC) Baguio students won second place with their project called "ANGEL: Android-based Personal Assistant Device Using Voice Recognition;”

while AMACC Pasig students earned the third spot with "Generating Walkergy Supplement for Storing Energy in the Battery: A basis for Energy Consumption.”

On the other hand, Culiat High School students are the champion in the high school division of the Science Fair with their project, "Indian Almond leaf Extract: A reducing agent of Glucose Level.”

Tarlac National High School students landed in second place with "Collision Mechanism for Carbon Dioxide (C02) and Water Vapor obtained from transpiration: A Global Warming Inhibitor.”

Lastly, students of the University of Baguio Science High School snagged the third place with their "Multi- Angular Study Chair.”
