AMA Education System (AMAES) recently signed a partnership agreement with Microsoft Philippines at Buddha Bar Manila in Makati City in order to fulfill the shared goal of both parties, which is to provide quality education to students through use of new technology. Microsoft Philippines was represented by their General Manager, Ms. Karrie Ilagan, together with Mr. Joel Garcia, DX Lead – Microsoft Philippines and Ms. Duchess Joebeth Domagsang, Academic Programs Specialist – Microsoft Philippines, while AMAES was represented by none other than its Vice Chairman, Dr. Amable C. Aguiluz IX, together with Engr. Arnel F. Hibo, COO – AMAES and Mr. Christopher Satulan, Head of Global Education Services - AMAES.

As part of the partnership, Microsoft Philippines will give students of AMAES 100% FREE access to Dreamspark, a platform owned by Microsoft used for downloading different Microsoft applications that are very useful for both academic and business purposes. In exchange, one of the commitments of AMAES is to integrate the study and usage of Windows Phone 8 and Windows 8 Platform, Microsoft Azure and Visual Studio to its curriculum through any elective or subject where it is applicable.

With this partnership between the leading software developer in the world and the largest educational network in Asia, AMAES students will have greater chances of succeeding in the corporate world, for this will not only make them aware of different Microsoft applications that are used in the industry, but will also give them the edge when it comes to usage and application of each software to actual work, thus making them more competent, especially on roles requiring knowledge in different applications that are essential to business operations.
