Richamae Villaraza, 17, a senior high school student from AMA College Lucena won the gold medal in Javelin Throw and silver in 100 meter dash in the recently concluded City Meet 2016 in Quezon National High School, Lucena.

She is one of the children of Mr. Monico Villaraza and Mrs. Carlita Villaraza. Her father works as a school utility and her mother is a full time home maker. As a regular teenager, she spends her free time playing and hanging out with friends in school.

Aside from winning in the sporting events mentioned above, she is also a qualifier in the upcoming Southern Tagalog CALABARZON Athletic Association 2017, which she is now preparing for. She is now undergoing physical training like regular jogging and endurance activities right after classes, which are all meant to help get her in perfect condition by the time she competes.

She is dreaming of becoming a successful and well-known athlete someday, and she believes that this activity is a great way for her to improve physically, mentally and emotionally in order to conquer challenges and achieve her goals in life. #ProudAMAder #AMAseniorHIGH #AMAESsports
