CHED Grants Autonomous Status to AMA University

For its consistent committed service through quality education, research and extension work, AMA University has been granted the Autonomous Status from CHED last October 24, 2019. It is the highest recognition CHED can grant to a private higher education institution in consideration and acknowledgment of the institution's achievements, contribution to the society, adherence to quality assurance, and commitment to public responsibility and accountability as a higher education provider.

This AMAzing achievement is accentuated by AMA's reputation as the first in IT education and full online education in the Philippines. As a pioneer in computer-related courses in the country, AMA is known for producing tech-savvy graduates that are highly knowledgeable and skilled in different computer applications and technologies that are used in the actual industry.

In addition, AMA is also ISO certified and accredited by different reputable organizations like ABET, PACUCOA, TESDA, CompTIA, Cisco, and Microsoft. With the Autonomous Status recognition from CHED, one of the most important benefits AMA University may enjoy is the freedom to develop and launch undergraduate and graduate programs within its areas of expertise whithout the need to secure permit or approval from CHED.

Among the latest innovative programs launched by AMA were the BS Cybersecurity and AMA University Online Education (AMA OEd), which are both first of its kind in the Philippines.
